PRAYER BEADS ROSARY AND TASBIH

The theme is about the exploration of prayer within the two religions, Islam and Christianity.

Prayer beads in simplest terms is a tool used to aid prayer and meditation. The beads counts the prayers as they are recited out loud or in the mind.

MY OWN DESIGNS

Using my primary sources as references, I produced my very own prayer mat designs through stencilling using acrylic paints and coloured papers.

ORIGINAL PHOTO

This artwork I created is inspired by the painter 'Angu Walters'. Walters developed his artistic style in surrealist work and bright abstract geometries. He also is a musician and incorporates this influence into his canvases through vibrant rhythm and pattern making.

Looking at his artwork'Prayer' made me realised that his geometric shapes and patterns may represent the stained glass of churches' windows.
